He was raised as a candidate for succeding L.
After L's death, he went out on his own to
catch Kira. In order to chase Kira, he even
joined the Mafia.
Strength: Without having to choose
his tactics, his ability was to act fast.
Mello's strength was in his ability to think
beyond the fetters of the law with his
concepts and his actions. Even though
it is said that he fell behind Near, Mello's
impulsive actions were great threats
towards Light.
Ambition: He aims for the top,
by eliminating those in his way.
Since long ago, Mello had thought of
becoming Number 1 by winning against
Near. He wished to catch Kira with his
own power in order to show Neear and
to win the title of Number 1.
Personality: Strong desire to prove
himself and his inferiority complex.
He possessed a superior intelligence,
bus at times he let his emotions take
precedence and made mistakes. Also, his
inferiority complex towards over-achieving
Near distorted the growth of Mello's own
personality. Based on just his qualities,
Mello knew himself that he could not
reach the top. In the end, he fell to the

point of becoming a criminal.

Mello's speech quotes:

In order for his jealousy against Near to disappear, he needed to solve the case that even L

could not solve.

"I will kill those in my way and becom Number 1." (Volume7 Pg198)

His thought that "even if he has to kill those in his way, he will," seems to imply that

his mindset was very similar to that of Kira.

"I am not a tool to help you solve your puzzle." (Volume9 Pg136)

Mello was angy at having been used by Near. For Mello, this was the greatest insult.

"I did not expect Matt to be killed... I am sorry

that I let him down..." (Volume12 Pg15)

Mello's words regarding Matt's death. He never had the intention to kill Soichiro. Mello

was not purely evil.

He was one of the top detectives in the world, but

his real identity was shrouded in mystery. With
the Kira case, he stepped onto the stage for the
first time, but the result of that was...
Personality: A stubborn child-like
personality who hates losing.
L himself knew about his almost child-like
trait of hating to lose even in the most
trivial cases. He was extremely suspicious
(of things), and in order to ascertain the
truth for himself, he used various means
to uncover the truth. Because of this,
there were many times in which other
people misunderstood him.
Habit: A very picky eater.
Even during the investigation, there
was no record of L, with his sweet tooth,
having ever eaten a decent meal. Usually,
he was seen eating sweet food like candy.
It seems that he needed to replenish his
sugar level in order for his mind to work.
For him to be able to remain in good shape

even after eating so many sweets was one

of his abilities. Even Misa was envious of him.
Strength: A genius who has a bold
ability to take action.
It is obvious that L's reputation as a famous
detective was the result of his intelligence
and perhaps also because of his ability to
take action. From the boring activity of
looking at a monitor day after day, to the
fast arrangements of securing the culprit,
he could do everything by himself.

"Come! Try and kill me!" (Volume1 Pg75)

For L, who was cautious, this is a very bold statment, but he was confident that 'he

cannot kill me.'

"Justice will prevail." (Volume2 Pg87)

A line that is too immature. Being able to say this without feeling embarrassed shows

the strength of his resolution, or does it have another hidden meaning?

"Light is my very first friend." (Volume4 Pg132)

In the battle against his enemy, L acted out his relationship with Light and Misa. Their

cooperative investigation against Yotsuba was a great combination.

"I might end up liking you!" (Volume6 Pg49)

L's words towards Misa. From his expression, his real intention was hard to read, but this is

most likey flse. It might seem that he was not totally immune to a lady's attraction.

Personality: Decisive and armed with
incredible analysing skills.
He was one who was driven to
achieve his ambitions, without faltering one
bit in his beliefs. Despite dirtying his hands
with the blood of the people he killed with
the Death Note, this extreme action can be
said to be a result of his unmoving resolve.
Strength: A worthy opponent of L.
Light was hard working and talented. In
addition, he was a natural genius, with a
similar degree of intelligence to that of L.
It was in his innate ability to be a brilliant
schemer. The only fault of his was his over
confidence in himself and his firm belief
that he was never wrong.
Experience: Kira succeeding as L
After Light won the battle with L, took
the persona of L and gained control of
the Kira investigation team, this put
him on the safest ground as his role as
a second generation L covered his
identity as Kira.

This sentence can be said to be Light's trademark in his speeches.

It reveals Light as one who was lacking in humanity.

"Let's capture Kira together" (Volume5 Pg45)

These were the words of Light when he had lost possesion of the Death Note.

Perhaps Light was meant to be L's partner in the investigation all along.

"Do everything as planned!" (Volume7 Pg24)

Light thought og everything. He had everything planned out from

start to end.

"A group of resilient idiots..." (Volume12 Pg145)

This sentence reveals how Light looked down on the others.

With the powers of Kira, Light had lost sight of his previous goals.

Lying

Okay. Right now I don't care if this sounds like a blog or not, I just gotta say some stuff.

Basically, there's this guy I met online and he's really nice and I feel like I'm in love with him. Like SERIOUSLY.
He and I agree on SO many things, and he thinks I'm hot and I think he's hot. BUT the thing is I'm LYING to him about myself. He thinks I'm really 17 and I'm only 14. He said he can't stand liars and decievers but here I am, lying and decieving. This feeling sucks.
I wanna tell him but I think he'll take it the wrong way and never talk to me again, and I don't think I could handle that. But I mean, it's gotta happen sooner or later.
And I have NO ONE I can talk to about this.
Oh well.

Man this is COOL. I LOVE having a blog... but I really don't know how to blog. So I'll just write like it's a journal-ish thing.

I've had it on my xbox 360 for a while, but I never really listened to it. >.>;
I'll post lyrics soon but it seems to be non-existent on the internet, sortof like Mr. Jones by Exfera, which I also was looking for a while ago, but never found. ;-;
